I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home where gospel music was an important part of our lives. Since my dad is a Baptist minister and mom is a talented piano player (and married for 52 years) my sister, Anita, my brother, Rob, and I have been around gospel music all our lives. One of the fun things to do when everyone was home was to sing together at church. A family blended harmony is hard to beat, so when my cousin, Brad called and asked if Rob and I would be interested in singing together I was definitely interested.

Now that we each have “kids” of our own it gives a renewed meaning to “Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.” Time does go by so quickly. My kids think my favorite Bible verse is, “Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child but the rod of correction will drive it far from them,” so we’ll not tell them differently just yet.

Traci lives in Oakland Illinois with her husband Gene and 3 kids, Sarah, Jake and Lauren. She attended the Blackwood Brothers School of Christian Music At Murray State University and is currently enjoying being at home after 20 years in the workforce. She enjoys home schooling, watching their kid’s piano recitals, basketball games, and Christmas programs, and baking.
